Incredible time in Beirut, hosted by Sharif Sehnaoui. Three concerts and an hour-long radio broadcast.

First concert was a solo concert with gamepad-and-virtual-synthesizer at the Yukunkun club.

Then a private concert of Sooner or Later at the Bustros Palace.

Then the radio broadcast.

Finally a trio concert with Sharif and Mazen Kerbaj at the Beirut Art Center. This was really fantastic. Both Sharif and Mazen are wonderful musicians. Mazen is also an internationally celebrated visual artist. You may have heard of him as he gained considerable international notoriety during the last Israeli bombing of Lebanon for playing trumpet non-stop on his balcony as the Israeli bombs fell.

I hope to continue my working relationship with Sharif and Mazen for years to come.

A nice interview was published in L’Orient Le Jour, Beirut’s major French-language newspaper, “Bob Ostertag, createur va-t-en-guerre.”
