Played at a little bar in Malang called Houtenhand. The bar is a unique social, artistic, and political space which is the result of the loving work of Donny Firmansyah. Donny is one of the truly unique and inspiring characters I have met in this year on the road. I cannot say much intelligent about him in a brief blog post, but I am writing about him at length in the longer journal I am writing on this year on the road. I had long talks with Donny about his approach to life, and discovered a deeply kindred soul. So inspired by his generosity with his community, his fearlessness in the face of political and religious intimidation, his humility, and his sense of humor.
